Long Time Ago

This day feels long.
It feels brief when the light is gone.
When I look to my youth I never thought about the time.
The thought of my day to come was the last thing upon my mind.

But that was a long Time ago.

My adolescent way.
Feels like it was only yesterday.
Learning to cast my line right off the riverbed.
Feels like yesterday but it was a long time ago I said.

We had a blast we had a ball.
I was told man that I could have it all.
I was told to watch every little thing that I go and say.
Told a long long time ago but still got it with me today.
